Me, Leonid Bondarenko, came to Israel from Moldova in 1996 and came with the problem of alcoholism, thinking that in a new country everything would be in a different way …

                         But in Israel, my problems began to  exacerbate  and I lost my family, health, and lost myself in this life ...

                              I remained in the street, alone. But, Thank God, He was protecting me all this time therefore I didn't die somewhere under a fence though it was expected. And then, in the most difficult time for me, God, at last, gave me His hand of solvation.

                             It happened on September 5, 2005. There was the first miracle. The Lord delivered me from the habit of smoking and alcoholism! I started listening to the Word of God. I learned about the Son of God - Jesus Christ, and began to think about  my life and my soul.    

              I repented of what has sinned, invited Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior in my life. .Sometimes there were moments of temptation, but, thank God, I did not leave the rehabilitation center – did not leave the "House of Him”.     

             Today I serve to the people who are in the same situation, that I had been once. I live in our community, "Light of the Golan Heights" of the Messianic Congregation "Living Israel."    

               I cannot say that today I have no problems at all. They have place, because I reap the fruits of what has been sown in "that" life. But, thank God, the Lord teaches us to rely upon Him, trust Him, to acquire patience, to give all the problems in His holy hands, pray and believe.

                    Today I have a big family: brothers and sisters in Lord, and His great love in all of us, and His incomprehensible mercy, by which He transforms us, former "lost sheep", wayward…. Different things happen in my life, but since I am with God, there was not such moment,  that  even for one second I regretted that I have chosen for myself!
